Optimistic realism isn't easy, but then again.. It shouldn't be.

As long as you have Air in your lungs, food on your plate, a shelter over your head and someone who loves you, there is absolutely no reason to feel sad. Whatever happens, you’re blessed beyond your imagination.

- Nearly a billion people entered the 21st century unable to read a book or sign their names.

- At least 80% of humanity lives on less than $10 a day

- According to UNICEF, 22,000 children die each day due to poverty.

Number of children in the world

2.2 billion

Number in poverty

1 billion (every second child)

Children are the wealth of this world. The only thing in this world worthy of total sacrifice is children. They are the only pure, innocent things that exist in this dirty, disgusting humanity.

Out of all the children in the world, the smallest, smallest fraction of them will have the means to live comfortable lives. Out of these children, an even smaller, minute portion of them will have the ability to chase their dreams.

If you are reading this, you are in that small portion. No matter who you are, you’ve had a dream - and no matter where you’re up to, whether you’ve achieved it/haven’t achieved it yet, you are still in that microscopic group of people who have the means to chase their dream.

No matter what you’re going through or have gone through, you have no right to be sad for yourself - put your trials in perspective. While you complain about technology or other benefits, more than 22000 children diedAnd 22000 more will die tomorrow, there’s nothing you can do about that.

So do your best and chase that dream down until it’s in your hand, until you conquer it with all you have in you. Do it for all those kids who have died with a dream that they never could have achieved, no matter how bad they wanted to.
